First film: Anti-smoking
Let’s start the festival programme with a bit of light-relief. This film falls firmly into the comedy horror genre, taking its influence from “I know what you did last summer” as a psychotic fisherman reeks revenge on unsuspecting victims. It has its chilling moments but is ultimately undermined as the victims survive and then nonchalantly spark up a ciggy. Whatever he does to them in his fishy lair can’t be that bad.
